Thursday 19 March 2026 Academy Committee and Trustees Visit Luminous Oak Academy Site Last week our CEO, Sharon Burt had a site visit to our new school Luminous Oak Academy. She was joined by Luminous Oak Academy's new Academy Committee and Solent Academies Trust Trustees. Wednesday 11 March 2026 Work Experience on the School Grounds Harrison spent the afternoon helping to tidy up part of the school grounds. We dug, chopped, raked and shovelled an area close to his classroom that was looking a bit untidy. With the help of Leo and Oscar we worked hard and in less than two hours had transformed the area so that it looked much nicer.

Last week, pupils took part in a hunt for different body parts to ‘make a friend'. Pupils identified the body parts that they found and worked together to ensure their new friends were assembled correctly.

The Trust is currently comprised of five special schools, three of which are in Portsmouth, one in Compton, West Sussex and one in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
