Governor Testimonial

Alex Wooster - Vice-Chair Redwood Park Academy Committee

I have absolutely loved my time as a Multi Academy Trust School Governor so far and I feel that I have got stuck in quickly. Joining a Multi Academy Trust has meant that I have been fully supported during the induction process and that there is a community of governors with diverse backgrounds that I can connect with and learn from. Although I was nervous at first, I have found that I am valued for my participation and encouraged to learn and ask questions. I became a governor mostly to develop my professional skills, and I have found that I am getting far more out of the experience than I anticipated. I would recommend the opportunity to anyone interested.

Linda Turner – Co-opted Governor – Cliffdale Primary

I have a been a Governor for just over a year and although initially I was concerned what I could offer I quickly settled to in to feeling part of the school community. When I visit school, I receive a friendly welcome from staff at all levels and the support from other Governors and leaders. There is a vast range of training available and encouragement together with support to explore different options. I enjoy informal visits into classes and joining in with school events alongside my link visits where I have able to extend my understanding of my curriculum link area of responsibility.
