Cliffdale Primary Academy is a primary special school for 196 pupils aged 4-11 years who have complex learning difficulties; over 70% of our pupils have autism and severe learning difficulties. 

All pupils have an EHCP or a statement of special educational needs.

Cliffdale became an academy in December 2013, sponsored by The Solent Academies Trust and in November 2016 was judged as outstanding by Ofsted.  Cliffdale Primary Academy is a full and active member of the Solent Academies Trust sharing curriculum opportunities, engaging in joint CPD and opportunities for staff residencies, making effective use of resources. The provision for pupils with autism was confirmed as an Area of Excellence by the Challenge Partners Review Team in March and October 2015. 

Cliffdale Primary Academy is a Forest School and all pupils participate in Forest School across the academic year. Cliffdale also has a strong arts curriculum including the performing arts.
