Solent Academies Trust are seeking to appoint proactive, resilient, and creative Pastoral Support Assistants to join our pastoral team at our Littlegreen Academy, a SEMH school for boys aged 7 – 16 years, near Chichester.
Littlegreen Academy became a member of The Solent Academies Trust on 1st January 2019. We are an outstanding special school’s trust and learning community which includes Mary Rose Academy, Cliffdale Primary Academy and Redwood Park Academy as well as the Portsmouth Teaching School Alliance. The Trust has a successful track record of developing and supporting staff to make sure you gain the skills and experience to enable our pupils to achieve great things.
At Littlegreen Academy the welfare of our pupils is paramount to them succeeding!
We are looking for individuals who have knowledge of adverse childhood experiences and the effect this can have on them. You must be able to recognise the importance of removing barriers, working with pupils individually, outside of the classroom and providing supportive interventions in a calm, respectful and caring manner. You will be emotionally resilient, flexible, innovative, forward thinking and a team player with a good sense of humour.
You will want to build excellent relationships with our pupils, while being compassionate to their needs, with a desire understand them wholly.
We welcome individuals with Team Teach and Forest Schools experience, however this is not essential.
We will provide you with superb resources, excellent staff induction, training and a commitment to continuing professional development within a happy and supportive community. We are fortunate to have extensive school grounds including our own woodland area, where we spend quite a lot of our time learning!

The posts are for Band 5 for 37 hours per week term time only.
Annual FTE salary £20,159 – £21,841. Term time only salary £17,406 - £18,858.
