Littlegreen Academy is looking for an inspirational Assistant Headteacher to join the leadership team at Littlegreen Academy, a school for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) as well as a significant number of pupils with autism. 

Littlegreen is a member of the Solent Academies Trust.  You will work closely with the Executive Headteacher/Chief Executive Officer, the Head of School, and the senior leadership team as well as leaders from the other three schools: creating a learning community across the four schools. Our Trust includes Mary Rose Academy, Cliffdale Primary Academy and Redwood Park Academy.   Mary Rose is an outstanding school, a National Teaching School and a National Support School and the Trust benefits from working with several partners both locally and nationally.  Cliffdale Primary Academy was also judged as outstanding by Ofsted in November 2016 and Redwood Park judged as outstanding in November 2019. We have a successful track record of developing outstanding leaders to realise rapid and sustained school improvement and outcomes for children.

The key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Leading lower school provision, promoting high expectations and securing excellent outcomes for all pupils in this phase
  • Leading transitions, placement planning & inductions for incoming pupils
  • You will be willing to undertake the SENCO qualification and promote inclusion & wellbeing
  • Thrive ambassador/ practitioner for Lower School
  • Annual Review and Earwig development
  • CPD Lead
